Phew! Just finished recording this weeks podcast with Anna, and if you are in a plateau with your diet - tune into an Anna RANT! And thank goodness for it too.
She quite rightly hauled me over the coals and managed to inspire me at the same time!!
My weight loss this week - NIL!
And I must say having given into temptation on a daily basis I am extremely lucky to have maintained. I am quite sure without a major effort next week would be a disaster.
So current weight this week
10.11.6 pounds
Fat 34.7% and metabolic age 47! (real age 42)
Congratulations to Anna - now me dear do not let Humiliated from Hereford let you become complacent - Keep Going!
Tune into the show but here are the tips I have learnt from this week's roasting:
1: Blog more often - it makes you accountable and reminds you of your priority
2: When you are tempted by chocolate (or anything else for that matter) focus on a picture of what you will look like and feel like and ask yourself do you want that chocolate more than the main aim.
3: When the going gets tough, the tough get going. Try 10 times harder than now!
If you are having the same trouble as me - forget the excuses - I have been through all of them in my mind. Together lets rethink, refocus and reduce...
I will be doing this on my attempt at the longest run so far... 5 miles.

FIVE MILES!? Awesome Heather! I am going to make an attempt at moving for three miles on the treadmill today after yoga class. (In other words, I'm allowing myself walk breaks, as long as I run for at least half and move for 3 miles.) I have to get up to that 5K for the end of May!
I find that when it comes to temptations, it is better to give in really bad once than just a bit several times over the week. Someone once told me that if you binge out in less than three hours and no more than once a fortnight it won't affect your losses. I don't know how true that is, but there you have it. This guy lost something like 70 lbs a couple years ago. He's also an enormous blowhard, so I take everything he says with a grain of salt.
If you are really truly craving a "bad" food though, (like chocolate) sometimes it is better to allow yourself a very small amount of what you actually want than trying to compensate for it with too much of other things.
Ah well. Heather, I hope you had a great time giving Parliament what for and after a few good runs, you'll be back on the horse! remember what I said last week....the HARD part is maintaining! Now you know you can do that, losses will be a breeze (she tells herself having gained!) I can't wait to hear the podcast!
Now, I've been waiting to say this: Run Heather, Run!

Thank you FoxyDot - I shall be posting shortly with the result of the Blakemere to Moccas to Preston 5 mile attempt.
Will definitely NOT be going for the three hour binge this week, I feel a new resolve and am about to study my favourite eating bible - French Women dont get Fat!
Keep moving...
