I'll take it! Any loss is a good loss, right? And since the past few weeks have been more than my goal of 2 pounds less, I'm quite happy to lose one pound.
Of course, I lost only this pound because I could have made better food choices, which I will do in the coming week. Most of the week has been very stressful at work and I'm in the process of interviewing at another company. And I haven't honestly been as focused on my dieting needs as I should be.
However, yesterday my boss was waving a huge box of fresh Krispy Kreme donuts in my face and told me to quit being a baby and just eat one. But I didn't! At the end of the day when the box was empty, I told him that it had been accomplished with ZERO help from me! He called me a name and my co-worker (the uber-dieter who shoves food in her face constantly), who cut up the donuts into little bites but STILL ate three, said, "Aww [expletive deleted] you." I felt very redeemed. And still like quitting.
Oh, and I have upped my intake of water. That's all I drink at work these days because it's free and ice-cold and filtered. My way of sticking it to the man is to drink all their filtered water. I guess you have to take your victories where you can, eh?

Completely inspirational podcast. And guess where I just listened to it? In the bath, - laughed my head off. Keep inspiring me - I need it!

Well done lawn....that is fantastic news to hear both about your weight loss - a pound nearer that goal - and also the self control. Work is so often the cause of putting weight on...don't let it be. Eating for that kind of stress doesn't hurt the firm just you, you are the one that looks in the mirror!
You stay strong girl.....keep thinking of that birthday party, how you will feel putting those clothes on.....being that right weight is so much more fulfilling than a doughnut, remember that.
....I like it when the lawn has been trimmed
