Tips on Weight Loss
As many of you know, I have a breathing problem which makes exercise really difficult. However, I try and do a little and often. Here are a few things that I do that help me burn a few calories without going to the gym or running miles on the road.
- I walk to the local shops - I used to go by car but it is just over a mile and burns a few calories and also helps the environment.
- I have a house with 4 mini stair cases...so I keep certain everyday things at the top of the house which makes me have to climb more stairs each day. In the past I would have only kept things at the top of the house I wasn't going to be using regularly.
- Whilst waiting for the kettle etc...I stretch or even run on the spot!
- I garden....ok not a huge fat burner but it is better than being sat in front of the telly.
- I park further away from my destination so I have to walk. Before I would try and find the nearest car parking space...now I park at the furthest point.
Little and often is the name of this diet game!

This is so true, my life has changed from making an effort to exercise to consistantly trying to change journeys to involve excercise. For example I play tennis on a Tuesday night now with friends even though our match season is over, but added to that I cycle to the courts (only 3 miles but thats better than nothing). I add into this deals with myself, so in order to have a sauna I commit to 20 lengths. Its fun for sure but it also definitely "firms you up"
