As its been just about four month since we started MAS, I thought it would be interesting to go back to my very first goals and see how I'm actually getting on compared to the aims set back then:
Weigh between 9 stone 6 and 9 stone 13 forever.
Currently 10.8.2
Target One
Lose 24lbs in 16 weeks - thats 1.5 pounds each week from 7th January to 30th April 2007
Target Two
Once the 24lbs is achieved lose 1 pound per week until target aim to be at target on 1st June 2007
So far lost app 1 pound a week
How am I going to acheive this?
1. Increase my exercise level
Per week
Commit to 20 mins of dog walking 6 days a week (or equivalent) after work and before tea time
This week I've three times
Three walk/runs (nike plus) Follow the coolrunning.com plan Wed, Sat, and Sun.
Check
Three cycle rides - 30-40minutes
Nil
Davina Upper Arms and body once a week with San - Wed night or a circuit on a Monday.
Nil, but I have had 3 hours of match tennis instead
2. Monitor progress with a Tanita Fat Monitor Scales etc and measure regularly.
Check, on the scales - yet to measure
3. Commit to a weekly podcast with Anna where I share my weight,
body fat etc and keep up to date with this blog until 1st June 07

4. Eat healthily and cut out junk, keeping to under 1300 calories per day following the Weetabix Right Weight Right Fibre Plan.

All in all, although a little behind with the overall weight loss plan and the cycling I think the goal is still feasible but I intend to revise the speed of the weight loss target to be more realistic. I am to be at my target 9.10 by July 25th 2007.
And the lessons learnt?
Setting high but realistic goals that are written down are extremely valuable.
Blogging is an easy way of being accountable.
