This is a quote from the wonderful book by Mark Sanborn called 'You Don't Need a Title to be a Leader'
It was one of those sentences that really stood out of the page for me. Often I talk about giving and giving back but this can be seen by some as a negative - giving something of away.
Well, this is a wonderfully positive way of thinking about extending your network, building your own personal brand and of leadership. The idea that you are returning something back to the world....returning also shows the evolution, it shows that you have gained from life and have value to return. I love this phrase and may I say there are many more incredibly powerful stories in the book.
