Carnival of Anecdotes

As a leader you need an array of stories and anecdotes to share with people, to improve your communication skills, to help translate the company's vision and objectives to your team. I normally host this carnival at MabelandHarry but a change is as good as a rest (!) and so I thought I would host it here today.

Alvaro Fernandez presents Take the Senses Challenge posted at SharpBrains, saying, "some fun puzzles you can incorporate as a fun element in your presentations"

wilson ng presents Deep Understanding posted at Reflections of a BizDrivenLife, saying, "In todays world, the person who knows how will earn good money, but a person that TRULY knows why is the one who will be sought after! Dont’ be content with just skin deep understanding. Go for depth and true mastery!  The difference in a small improvement in excellence will translate into big differences for your business and for your career."

Editor - Dave Prouhet presents Business Failure posted at Business Advice Daily, saying, "There is truth to the statement that we learn from our mistakes. As small-business owners who have experienced a degree of success, we have profited from our mistakes, our failures. The following are some of our mistakes, our failures, to spare you from experiencing the same."

travis simpson presents Personification of the Corporation posted at Symbolscape.

Gustav S presents The Cake Analogy posted at success-is-in-you.com, saying, "Baking a Cake is analogous to success, find out why! :D"

Craig Harper presents Creating Something (spectacular) from Nothing posted at Renovate your life with Craig, saying, "In 1988 I had the idea of setting up a Personal Training centre in Melbourne. There were no commercial PT facilities in this country at the time. It would be Australia's first appointment-only gym. I was young, had no business experience, no tertiary qualification and not much money. Clearly, a perfect plan."

Becky McCray presents What I learned from failure posted at Small Biz Survival, saying, "Each of my failures has led me to a positive opportunity."

That concludes this edition.  Submit your blog article to the next edition of anecdotes and stories for presentations using our carnival submission form. Past posts and future hosts can be found on our blog carnival index page.
