Do You Appeal To People's Intelligence?

Consumers, customers, employees are now so much more informed. They often know more about the business, more about the choice then the business itself. So it is important to believe in their intelligence, rather than speak "down" to their assumed intelligence.

Dad used to say to me...."if you are speaking down to someone that means you are in some way speaking from a platform. That would mean the people are at the foot of that platform, remember they have the power to shake it and bring you down."

Engagement happens between equals.Conversation happens between friends. Loyalty happens from two way delivery of promises. Power comes from sharing information together.....I believe life success comes from people having the intelligence to speak to the intelligence of others.
