Social media is wonderful at breaking down the barriers to reaching consumers -both potential and actual. There have been some web tools that have grabbed my attention recently and tools I am using with businesses or individuals that I wanted to share with you.
( I write more about specific research and web tools over at Buzz Networker)
- Blog.mu. A tool which allows you to create a community of blogs and bloggers. For someone who wants to create a hub, or a community around an idea then I think this is well worth checking out.
- Scibd. This is a beta marketplace which is to documents what iTunes is to music. People "can sell written works to a potential buying audience of more than 60 million". You can sell documents online ...easily! (Only US at the moment)
- Google Profile. "A Google profile is simply how you present yourself on Google products to other Google users. It allows you to control how you appear on Google and tell others a bit more about who you are. With a Google profile, you can easily share your web content on one central location. You can include, for example, links to your blog, online photos, and other profiles such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and more." This is a must for anyone who is interested in creating a successful personal brand.
