I love that definition and have it on my wall in my office. We have to create the need, create the engagement, create the experience...
If we then take this to leadership then we could say
"....the purpose of leadership is to create leaders"
We can do that by sharing, by trusting, by setting the standards, by constantly challenging our team.
I think the worst leaders I have worked for are those who see their role as being a seen as a leader....rather than seeing their role as developing the leaders of the future.
