Some companies see social media as a quick fix or something they "should" be doing rather than want to do....Here are 10 ways of finding out whether a business is social or so-shall?
- So - shall we blog because everyone else is doing it
- So- shall we cut our advertising by just spamming on social networks
- So - shall we use social media to tell people who we want to be rather than who we are
- So - shall we pay lip service to social media by controlling comments
- So - shall we ignore the idea internally and only use social media externally
- So - shall we see this as a fad and keep going business as usual
- So - shall we use social media but still tell and sell rather than value our customers time
- So - shall we throw out the baby with the bath water and ignore traditional media
- So - shall we ask our teams to use social media to show we are modern but then undermine it by not giving them time to do it properly
- So - shall we see this as a short term initiative ignoring the fact trust through social media is only built over the long term
Anyone recognise any of these so-shall mindsets? :)
