The world seems to have gone mad at the moment. Living in the UK and seeing the mindless riots, it reminds me of a saying...how do you win your fight?
Through the argument of force or the force of the argument?
It is an important philosophy. Most will agree that the latter wins through...yet in our day to day lives we are guilty of taking the short term approach and going with the former.
Leaders often through time pressure or lack of communication skills resort to the former.
Marketers often through work pressure or lack of time to think resort to the former.
We all in our busy lives often don't take the time to build our argument. OK spam may work for 1% of your customers...but what about the 99% that you annoy? That is using force not argument.
Yet it is in the strength of our story, the strength of our convictions, the strength of our well thought through arguments...that success will prevail.
Argument is the glue which binds the loyalty
When was the last time you sat down and started to create your argument, your story, the reason why people should buy from you? Create that and you win the marketing revolution through the force of the argument...
