People often ask me during coaching sessions "but how do we get people to like us?"
For me a social bond in any kind of society or part of society is created through interaction. Think of a simple question and answer between 2 people...a social bond is created.
Today with social media, the communication element within society is increasing in importance. Language is a critical factor.
I always use Lyotards model of how to increase the competence of sharing knowledge within the social media world, just like the "real world"
- Know How - Understand what you are, what to use and what you want to say
- Knowing How To Speak - Develop your writing style not for what you think people want but who you are....be you!
- Knowing How To Hear - Be interested in listening to inspire new content relevant to your social circle and also enjoy the interaction as much as content creation.
I find that all us have a strength in at least one of these areas, but that we don't develop our skills on the others because that needs time investment.
However, investments are always sound if the return is positive!
