Why I love podcasting part 2: podcasts are sales tools
Continuing my short series on the top 5 reasons I love podcasting, my second reason is that my podcasts act as members of my unpaid sales team 24/7 and 365 days a year.
Let me give you an example.
Last week I had a new member join my Biz Growth community and when I asked them how they had found out about me and the services I offer. I was really suprised to find that they had heard a podcast I had recorded over 18 months ago - in fact the podcast was not one of my own but one where I was an invited guest on another podcast show.
They had downloaded a series of podcasts and had heard my podcast interview and then decided to join my community as they were interested in knowing more about my area of expertise.
It is great to be an invited guest on a radio show but most often, once that radio show has been recorded, you are not likely to be heard again as few radio shows are re-broadcast.
However a podcast will be available forever - unless of course the podcast host takes down the interview from their website or blog.
So if you too are interested in extending your reach and recruiting a highly effective sales force who you don't even have to pay, then why not start podcasting.
And remember in my example, it was not even my podcast that someone had been listening to.
So if you are wondering how to get started in podcasting quickly and easily and without having to know any of the technology, why not research podcasters who speak to people in a similar field to you or who reach an audience that you would like to connect with as approach them about being a guest on their podcast show.
And of you missed the first in the series of why I love podcasting, you can read all about my first reason - speaking at the speed of sound - here.
Don't forget you can add your questions here if you want to know more about podcasting - we're here to support you getting up and running or for those that are already podcasting we would love to help you take your podcast to the next level - including how to profit from your podcast.

Again great point Krishna - for me my podcast is all about creating my personal legacy. I have this passion for giving something back to the business world that has been so good to me....so my podcast is my legacy that will live on even after I take my final podcast bow. The irony for me is that it has been great for business as well - two for the price of one!
